Easy Edible DIY Pink Cloud Playdough

Here is a quick recipe for a DIY pink cloud playdough! I love trying new playdough recipes from pinterest, but with Emme being so young right now, I always make edible ones. I had great success using this recipe with only two ingredients. Emme is currently obsessed with reading unicorn books so I thought a light pink playdough would be fun and unicorn-esque. This is edible, I know bc A) I tried it, B) My dog also “tried” it AKA She ate almost all of it when Emme was in the bath. I mean it does not taste “good,” but for DIY pink cloud playdough it’s not terrible. Just tastes mostly like cornstarch. haha

Sorry I don’t have a great photo of Emme playing with it! She was moving a mile a minute that day, and then there wasn’t much to play with after Murphy ate it…

Ingredients

  • Strawberry yogurt
  • Corn Starch

Directions

Start with equal parts strawberry yogurt and cornstarch. Stir the mixture together with a batter spoon. Slowly add more cornstarch as you mix if you are finding it to be too sticky. You have some wiggle room on this. The consistency can lean towards slime or dough depending on the ratio you use. I did not want mine to be super sticky because I knew at 12 months Emme was mostly going to just crush this in her palms. I mixed and continued to add cornstarch until the dough was pillowy and would break off into pieces, not stretch.

Storage

My cardinal rule is always store in a tupperware in the fridge until it gets gross. 😂 It’s yogurt, so keep that in mind. I actually just had it in one of Emme’s IKEA Flisat/TRofast storage bins for play, until I realized Murphy had eaten almost all of it.

Don’t forget to pin this for later!

What else can I make?
